Artwork
Portraits  â€‹
Luigi uses classical technique to express the character and atmosphere of his portraits in modern and contemporary settings. He captures the essence of the surroundings and background, and combines them with precisely calculated, individual gestures and expressions to convey subject’s essence and qualities. The evocative impact of his portraits is due largely to the three-dimensionality plus the artistry of pictorial light and shadow, which causes the subjects to stand out as it does. In his portraits are amply apparent the power of artistic imagination and painterly skills.

Painting Landscape, Cityscape, Marine Landscape, Wildlife and Pets, and Still Life

Luigi also specialised and creates paintings of other categories and themes such as landscape, cityscape, wildlife and pets, surrealism, and still life. Luigi is inspired by people, natural forms and landscapes. He creates paintings using colour and space in various forms and expressions. His artwork incorporates a full range of textures and motifs defining a subtle variety of rendering and intrinsic beauty. He is always exploring new ideas and compositions, looking for something novel and exclusive. Commissioning Paintings
Luigi also offers his clients custom made portraits on commission.

Luigi portraits are from life as well as from photographs. Using several photographs Luigi creates a composition that best reflect the personality and the qualities of the sitter, and even creating settings and scenes that never existed. Also, painting from photographs avoids the sitter posing for long hours. Luigi works with you to create a harmonious piece of artwork that captures the likeness and character of the sitter.

Communications and discussions about the portrait with the client are welcome.
During communications with you, for example emails, you can tell Luigi about you and what you have in mind for your portrait, and Luigi will provide you with suggestions about your painting, including choosing the appropriate photos. All the photos that you provide Luigi with are only used to create the final painting. For the portraits Luigi creates, he provides suggestions that are in best interest of clients, including choosing appropriate light for the sitter, as well as pose and other aspects of the painting composition. Luigi also offer his clients custom made paintings of other categories, such as landscapes and animals portraits on commission.
